14 January 2019
It's been a fun-filled January so far at Evolution Childcare, and we've had a very special Birthday to celebrate!
The Willows Nursery turned 15 at the beginning of January and they celebrated with lots of cake and a pyjama dress up day!
Many happy returns to The Willows!
Over at The Stables in Whitley, the children and staff have been learning Makaton. Makaton is a language programme that uses signing and symbols to help children and adults to communicate with each other, even when the child is at a very early age. Children tend to then drop the signs or symbols at their own pace, as they develop speech.
Zoey taught us lots of nursery rhymes using makaton. Take a look at our video of the Toddler Room performing their version of Baa Baa.
At The Abbey in Weaverham, the children had a dress up science kind of day! The children were finding ways to change the colour and texture of rice. Science can be so much fun, and when you're dressed up as your favourite character it's even better!
