Did you know there are many uses for playdough? It helps to develop our fine motor skills as well as our hand-eye coordination. It's calming for children and encourages creativity as well as social skills and it can also be used to support and promote both literacy and mathematical skills.
Today our Early Learner children at The Abbey used playdough to help strengthen their muscles in both their hands and arms. This is a lovely activity to do to help with pencil control. All of the children listened to the instructions and were able to squash, pull, poke and manipulate the dough.
